Under the Public Service Rearrangement and Transfer of Duties Act (R.S. 1952, cap. 277) and P.C. 156, 3 February 1964, the Secretary of State was designated responsible for: Section 23, of the Canada Council Act; the administration of the National Museums of Canada; and the Centennial Commission.
