The operational activities of the Office included in the accession incorporate general files on complaint procedures (not complaint case files), inquiry and complaint correspondence, international contacts and liaison, programs and studies related to language rights of official language minorities, federal laws and regulations related to language rights, provincial laws and regulations related to language rights, liaison with selected minority associations , minority communities, minority education rights, second language education programs, the air traffic controllers issue (1976-1989), revision of the Official Languages Act and reviews of Official Languages program costs. In respect to the Official Languages program within the Federal Public Service and public sector, the series documents the evolution of language of work objectives, recruitment and equitable participation, and service to the public. The series also includes a large number of special individual special studies and audits stretching back to the origins of the office as well as selected audit reports on federal government departments and agencies.
