By day her name was Alice Freeman and she was a Toronto school teacher while at night she became Faith Fenton, investigative journalist. She eventually became a full-time journalist and was a first-hand witness to the Klondike Gold Rush. As a newspaper correspondent, Fenton made the difficult trek with 200 Canadian soldiers who were sent to the Yukon as the "Yukon Field Force".
