Accession consists of central registry operational records created and/or maintained by the Northwest Territories Regional Office in Yellowknife. The files, predominantly classified according to the subject block numeric recordkeeping system, relate to the department's Northern Affairs Program and include but are not limited to the following general categories: Land (7252-); Mineral Resources (7700-); Territorial Government Administration (9000-); and Water Resources (9500-, 9540-). One file relating to research into Native rights and treaties is classified in block 45- according to the department's former modified duplex numeric recordkeeping system.
