This album, comprised of 110 pages on which 218 photographs are mounted, likely documents a 1929 inspection trip to the Northwest Territories made by O.S. Finnie, Director of the N.W.T. & Yukon Branch of the Department of the Interior from 1921 - 1931, mostly by airplane. A large percentage of the work consists of aerial views of water systems, such as river deltas and tributaries, and settlements, like Forty Mile Creek, Dawson, and Whitehorse. Photos mostly by O.S. Finnie. There are also two photographs from Indian Affairs in 1940, as well as a series on the Fort Smith waterfront in 1938 by G.M. Douglas and a series on Natives and travel methods (tobaggan and dogs, canoes, kayak, boat, horse) handed in by Dr. Jenness. These photographs are separated from the Finnie photos by fifty (50) blank pages.
