Most of the accession compliments material arranged in the following series: Primary Series Correspondence (J1), Memoranda and Notes (J4), Family Papers (J7), Personal Miscellaneous (J12), and Literary Executors of the King Estate (J17). The majority of files contain official correspondence which was generated in the Prime Minister's Office, including files on members of King's staff. Much of this correspondence was of a private or confidential nature and is usually filed by correspondent. There are, however, a few subject files. The accession also includes some personal correspondence with family members. A small number of files document the work of the literary executors.
