16 maps.Langue du document :anglaisPortée et contenu :Series consists of memoranda, reports, and some correspondence concerning a number of subjects, including the Canadian Arctic Expedition (volumes 10-11), the Wrangel Island Expedition (volumes 11-12), and miscellaneous topics such as the Arctic, the National Museum, ornithology and zoology (volumes 13-16).
Series also consists of photographic material divided into 5 sub-series as follows: Field trips; Canadian Arctic Expedition; Views of Northern, Central and Eastern Canada; Family and friends; and Scientists and explorers.
Series also includes cartographic material consisting of printed maps and tracings documenting the explorations of the Southern Party of the Canadian Arctic Expedition, 1913-1917. Included are Admiralty Charts of the Arctic Regions; two sketches on linen by R.M. Anderson; map of Melville Sound to Bering Strait showing ship and boat courses; map of Cape Bathurst to Dease Strait showing routes of sledge and boat parties; and map(s) entitled "Recent Explorations of the Canadian Arctic Coast" charting the mainland from Kent Peninsula to Cape Bathurst.
