The 127 items consist principally of "Orange" songs, but include others, including a few possibly of Warren's composition, concerning his emigration to Canada, the Battle of the Windmill, "George Brown's Lament" and the Fenians. The book provides a variety of song types: the broadside ballad, the traditional ballad, and the popular song.Provenance :Biographie/Histoire administrative :Warren, Benjamin, ca. 1792-1867 : Benjamin Warren has tentatively been identified as a resident of lot 23, concession 5 of Escott township in Leeds County, Ontario. He was born in Ireland in 1792 and was buried at Caintown Cemetery in 1867.
