The material is on microfilm reel M-235.Provenance :Nom(s) additionnel(s) :Biographie/Histoire administrative :Wright, Philemon (family) : Philemon Wright (1761-1839) came to the present site of Hull (Gatineau), Québec, from New England in 1800, and began both farming and lumbering operations there. Wright took the first raft of square timber from the Ottawa River down to the City of Québec in 1806. He and his sons, Philemon, Tiberius, Ruggles and Christopher were prominent local citizens who actively participated in the argicultural and commercial expansion of the region, as well as taking part in political and militia affairs.Information additionnelle :Note générale :Received at various times between 1945 and 1975.Note sur les expositions :Exhibition Title: Records of Our History: Canada, 1760-1815.
