Railways, and a few Canadian Railways, some marked as built by Mason Machine Works of Taunton, Massachusetts or by Hinkley Locomotive Works, or Bridgewater Iron Works. Examples of railways in the sub-series include Union Pacific; Atchison, Topeka, & Santa Fe; Toledo, Wabash & Western; Lake Huron & Michigan Southern; Seaboard & Roanoke; Wheeling & Lake Erie; St. Paul & Sioux City; Canadian Pacific; New York Central; Grand Trunk; Lake Shore & Michigan Southern; Detroit & River St. Clair Railway; Waterous (Brantford) steam engines & wagons; an engine for Russian Imperial Railways; Rutland RR; Owen Sound Dredge & Construction Company, Midland; Newfoundland Railway; Illinois Central at Louisville; Jackson Iron & Steel Company; Brantford Street Railway; 8 celluloid negatives were intended as illustrations for an article ?; and c. 50 celluloid negatives are labelled "W.A. Robinson negatives" and show locomotives and stations of Railways in Northeastern U.S.A.
Views attributed to specific photographers include ca. 4 Micklethwaite street views of Toronto; steamers, attributed to J.W. Bald of Midland; vessels, steamers, locomotives, harbour, in St. John's, Newfoundland, by Holloway, including NIOBE, "Canada's first warship"; and the S.S. Marie at Michigan, a factory, buildings, and vessels by A.E. Young.
Additionally, there are views of interiors of shops, steamers, trucks, a truck factory, automobiles, buildings, streetcars, hotels, and U.S. ships at Soo, Michigan as well as copies of engravings and printed pages about steam locomotives, train cars, excursions, rates, ads, timetables.
