This series consists of photographs pertaining to National Film Board of Canada film productions. This includes film stills as well as general views of the area in which the film was being made, actors and crew on location, as well as the NFB facilities. This numbering system replaced the SF classification and was used from 1958.

Historique de la conservation :

This collection was acquired by the National Archives of Canada in 1985 from the Canadian Government Film and Video Centre, after the National Film Board of Canada operated Photothèque was transferred to the Department of Supply and Services. Photographs related to films produced after 1975 are held at the National Film Board.

The collection was originally part of the former National Film, Television and Sound Archives of the National Archives and was transferred to the responsibility of the former Photography Acquisition and Research Sector of the National Archives in 1996.
