Note générale :
Hannah Sarah Howard was born in Buffalo, New York, in 1843, the daughter of Hiram Edward Howard (1800-1868) and Marianne Wallbridge (1813-1863). Following the deaths of their parents, Sarah Howard moved with her siblings to the Belleville area in Ontario, where their mother had been born. In 1878 Sarah married Octavius Henry Lambart (1855-1919). Lambart was the second son of Frederick John William Lambart, the 8th Earl of the County of Cavan (1815-1887), and his wife, Caroline Augusta Littleton, Lady Cavan (1817-1892).
