The series documents meetings sponsored by the chapters (business meetings, presentation of research, social events), nomination of regional representatives, communication between the society and the chapters, communication with chapter members, and other related matters.
Series consists of correspondence, memoranda, agenda, minutes, abstracts, research papers, newsletters, membership lists, and other documents.Information additionnelle :Note générale :Please note that this series primarily documents the activities of the regional chapters during the time period of 1947-1958. The only two chapters with documentation after this date are the Vancouver Island regional chapter and the Alberta regional chapter. For documentation concerning the chapters after this date, please consult the series Canadian Phytopathological Society operations and the series Office of the President of the Canadian Phytopathological Society., In the 1940s and 1950s there were ten regional chapters organised geographically: Maritimes, eastern Québec, western Québec, eastern Ontario, western Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, mainland British Columbia, and Vancouver Island. However, by 2015, there were only six chapters (British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario Southwest, Ontario East, and Maritimes).
