Accession consists of records created and/or maintained by the Pacific Region of Public Works and Government Services Canada.
The accession includes, but is not limited to, records relating to various architectural and engineering project in British Columbia and the Yukon, including construction, renovation, and other projects for office buildings, post offices, customs houses, airports, penitentiaries, RCMP detachments, highways, weather stations, breakweaters, river dredging, wharves, harbours, Harrison River Shearboom, New Westminster Railway Bridge, Summerland Agricultural Research Centre, Patricia Bay Institute of Ocean Sciences, Esquimalt Graving Dock, and other sites.
The accession also includes manuals and other publications on a variety of engineering topics including wood preservation, railway bridges, wood engineering, sites development, and paving material, as well as studies on various sites in British Columbia.

These records were originally held in British Columbia. They were transferred to the National Capital Region in 2016 and are available for consultation there.
