Central registry files of the Epidemiology Division [textual record]

The Epidemiology Division was concerned with studying factors governing disease causation in population groups including causal genetic, social, and environmental factors. In addition to its other duties, the Division also provided consultation on epidemiological problems to the Health Services Branch, other departments, and to outside agencies.

These records are replete with information bulletins, reference sources, general inquiries, and clippings relating to epidemiological matters. Included also are letters and internal memos concerning the Division's liaison activities with other departments and outside agencies. The files document such subjects as asbestosis, asthma, epidemiology, mineral springs, spas, as well as associations, organizations, and conferences on a diverse number of issues
