This album, comprised of 72 pages on which 226 photographs are mounted, is mainly comprised of various mining practices and equipment used in Western Canada during the early twentieth century. There is also documentation of the Prince of Wales' trip to Edmonton in 1919. Photos by O.S. Finnie for the Department of the Interior. There are also some prints from the Wolfe Studio (see album page 42 and 46), a commerical photography studio owned by Frank E. Wolfe.

This album is in fragile condition. The album cover is flaking off and staining upon touch. The tabs holding the photographs are breaking and the photos are coming loose. There should be interleaving.
This note is obsolete. This album was conserved as part of the album recontainerization project, 2012.

Historique de la conservation :

This album was originally part of accession 1974-366, which had been integrated into 1973-357. It has since been separated back into the two individual accessions of 1973-357 and 1974-366.
