These records are an accrual to the series F-1 Central Registry files which consist primarily of policy and administrative files. The records deal with such subjects as the Keable Commission, the Royal Commission on the Donald Marshall Prosecution, the Cariboo\Chilcotin Justice Inquiry, the Oppal Inquiry into Municipal Policing in British Columbia, and a review of the hostage taking incident on Parliament Hill. They include records on uniforms, kit and clothing, patrol vessels and RCMP buildings, the organization and history of the Force, and records management, INTERPOL Conferences, the International Association of Chiefs of Police Conference on terrorism, records on science and technology in support of law enforcement, including facial identification, fingerprints, crime detection labs, and forensics. They also include records on women in policing, member assistance programs, alcoholism, as well as records on the RCMP's role in protective policing, policing of provinces and municipalities, airport security, Royal visits, policy files on the enforcement of various Acts for which the RCMP are responsible, cooperation with other departments (among other the Dept. of National Health & Welfare re Indian Health Services and the Dept of Transport re wrecks & salvage) and with foreign police forces, gun control, cooperation with the Solicitor General regarding war criminals, Aboriginal Policing, policing of Indian reserves, tribal police, and race relations.
