Series consists of photographs by Michel Lambeth including street scenes and photographs of people, particularly in the following districts of Toronto: Allan Gardens, Cabbagetown, Jarvis Street, Kensington Market, King Street East, Old Woodbine Racetrack, St. Lawrence Market, Yorkville; life in the parish of St. Nil, Que.; views of the following places in Mexico: Lacadon, Matehuala, San Cristobal, San Miguel, Tehuantepec; photojournalism assignments for Star Weekly and Canadian Weekly magazines, 1961-1963; plays produced by Toronto Free Theatre, 1973-1975; and photographs of the following Canadian artists and literary figures: Dennis Burton, Nathan Cohen, Greg Curnoe, Selwyn Dewdney, Gerald Gladstone, Richard Gorman, Mickey Handy, Robert Hedrick, Gershon Ishkowitz, William Kurelek, Robert Markle, Kazuo Nakamura, Gordon Rayner, Josef Skvorecky, Michael Snow, Mashel Teitlebaum, Joyce Wieland.
Additionally, there are 1047 colour slides taken in a number of communities along the Canadian/US border in August 1974 as part of an assignment for the National Film Board book "Between Friends", a tribute to the United States for that country's bicentennial celebrations in 1976.
The series also contains "The Reflection of Existence", a limited edition portfolio (Number 1 of 15) of 15 b&w prints from negatives by Michel Lambeth including portraits of James Reaney, Michael Snow, and self-portrait, as well as various views of Toronto, Ont.
