Note générale :
The accession consists of operational registry files, principally related to the Comptrollership function of the Treasury Board Secretariat and composed of correspondence, reports, and memoranda. Treasury Board plays a policy making, regulatory, and accountability role in relation to a wide scope of administrative activities in a regime of delegated authority to all agencies and departments of the Federal Public Service. The subjects covered include ex gratia payments, risk management, major crown projects, contracting, contracting for services and procurement policy. These functions were the responsibility of the Administrative Policy Branch up to 1996. The records in this accession constitute records created by the older Administrative Policy Branch and migrated forward into a entirely new registry created for the merged components of the Administrative Policy Branch and major residual components of the Office of the Comptroller General
