Harris, Lawren Phillips, 1910-1994 : Painter. Harris served with the Governor General's Horse Guards (3rd Canadian Armoured Reconnaissance Regiment) during the first three years of the Second World War. As a war artist he remained with them as part of the 5th Armoured Division in Italy during 1944. After the war Harris ran the Fine Arts Department at Mount Allison University.
Picard, Claude, 1932- : Painter. Born in Edmundston, New Brunswick, in 1932, Picard studied painting in Florence, Rome, and Paris in the late 1950s. Picard's works are in the collections of the Canadian Senate, the New Brunswick Museum, the Université de Moncton, and the New Brunswick Legislature along with private and corporate collections in Canada, the United States, and Europe. A recipient of the Governor General's Medal in 1992 for his distinguished contribution to the arts in Canada, Picard was also presented with an honorary doctorate by the Université de Moncton in 1996.
Nicholson, Christan Martin, 1948- : Christan Nicholson was born in 1948 in Saint John, New Brunswick. He obtained his Bachelor of Fine Arts from Mount Allison University in 1973, and his Masters in Fine Arts from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design in 1974.
Nicholson is a portrait artist who has had numerous solo and group exhibitions accross Canada and has received numerous university, government, and corporate portrait commissions.
