Sub-series consists of a variety of files related to the Campbell River District Office and its predecessor, the Kwawkewlth Agency. This sub-series may also contain unprocessed central registry files.
Included in Volumes 11978-11988 are files of: Minutes of Meetings, law enforcement, trust accounts, water and electric systems, road right-of-way, housing, by-laws, interest distribution and natural resources. Volumes 12336-12337 contain two sets of potlatch files, the first set consisting of 4 volumes of original correspondence relating to potlatches, 1913-1945; the second set consisting of bound copies of correspondence relating to potlatches, 1913-1945, much, but not all, of which duplicates correspondence in the original volumes. Volumes 12337-12338 contain correspondence related to logging operations on various reserves in the Kwawkewlth Agency (1909-1949); census records comprising various aggregate statistics and correspondence and forms relating to various decennial censuses, 1911-1944. Volume 12341 contains an extensive inventory of the Kwawkewlth Agency (1959). Organized by band and then by reserve, the inventory documents, for each reserve, the date of the original survey, re-surveys, date of allotment, reserve population, total area, date of compilation, map numbers, topography, soil type, band occupation, climate, water supply, land classification, timber types, present usage, leases in effect, adjacent land use and so on. A key map for the Kwawkewlth and West Coast agencies is also included. Volume 12342 contains a map showing traplines for the West Coast Agency (no dates). Volume 15046 contains six survey plans indicating B.C. Power Commission rights of way for Nimpkish Reserve No. 1 and Indian Industrial School Reserve (Cormorant Island) (ca. 1950-1951).
