Fonds consists of forty-six prints by Paul Caron, Dudley Ward and Topham depicting scenes of Montréal and Québec such as forts, towers, architectectural buildings, churches and landscape views; eight prints by Paul Caron and Topham depicting scenes of forts in Québec such as Fort Senneville; Blockhouse and Fort on St. Helen's Island; Fort Sault St. Louis; Fort Blunder and Pointe aux Trembles; four prints by Paul Caron depicting street scenes of Montreal entitled: "St. Maurice Street"; "The Old-Time Bookstore"; 18th Century Houses"; and "Houses of Two Centuries Ago".
Fonds consists of a watercolour by Paul Caron entitled "Grey Rocks"; watercolour by Bobs Cogill Haworth entitled "Brick Kilns, Don Valley"; two drawings by Arthur Lismer entitled "Bennetdiction", January 1935 and "Govt. of the People", April 1933; one drawing by Duncan Macpherson entitled "Greed for the Yankee Dollar will destroy us", which was a cover for Star Weekly Magazine, 1965; ink drawings by Paul Caron entitled "Chinese Quarter, Lagauchetière Street", Montreal, 1926 and "Old Shop, Place Viger", Montreal, 1926.
Fonds also consist of 19 illustrated letters written by Paul Caron to Peggy Nelson Dixon. The letters were written between April 1925 and July 1926, with a gap between November 1925 and the last letter. Caron and Dixon must have met when the latter visited Montreal. Caron discusses his working methods, mentions books that he is interested in, some exhibitions (RCA), dealing with Rouss & Mann, and some of his family problems. He illustrates the letters with thumbnail sketches of flowering plants, scenes from Bonsecours Market, and some portraits.

Caron, Paul Archibald, 1874-1941 : Paul Archibald Caron was born in Montreal. He studied art at the Art Association of Montreal School and later in New York and in Philadelphia. He worked as a commercial artist for J.C Spence & Sons, stained-glass makers, in Montreal and also as illustrator for the newspapers La Presse (1897-1908), the Montreal Star, and for Desbarats Advertising Agency, where he became Art Director. He exhibited with the Royal Canadian Academy, the Art Association of Montreal, the Ontario Society of Artists and the Canadian National Exhibition. He was an Associate Royal Canadian Academician, a member of the Canadian Society of Graphic Artists, the Canadian Society of Painters, Etchers and Engravers, and of other associations. His works have been shown in both the National Gallery and the Parliament House in Quebec. Colin MacDonald A Dictionary of Canadian Artists. vol. 1.
