Sub-sub-series consists of transcribed deeds and related documents, including occasional plans and correspondence, from 1791 to 1900. The following information is recorded in the deed books: name of vendor, description of the land, deed number and the date of the transaction. The deeds relate to a variety of public works including roads, canals, railways, public buildings and other property transactions. This series also includes two books of abstracts of deeds of sale for lands acquired at canals and other public works, c.1840-1860 (Vols. 2529-2530). Vols. 2529-2530 were originally designated Books D and E, Vol. 2477 was Book H and Vol. 2481 was Book L; Vols. 2505 to 2522 were numbered 1 to 18. Vol. 2483 had no original designation, although it appears to have been compiled as a supplement to Books D and E.
