- Portée et contenu :
Series consists of textual records, photographic records, maps, architectural drawings and posters. Textual records consist of copies of a variety of publications prepared by the Corporation. Included here are copies of annual reports and by-laws of the Corporation, participants' handbooks, buildings regulations, customs guides, instructions to participants, tourist brochures, general publicity publications, and subject files on all aspects of Expo '67 (construction, design, site, entertainment, attendance, participants, etc). Also included is an incomplete set of numbered press releases and several press articles on Expo '67 (Vol. 151). The press releases, issued between 1963 and 1967, are numbered from 500 to 764. They are not in chronological order. As these are largely undated, they are arranged in numerical order as found. The press releases cover a variety of subjects, such as themes, appointments, construction facts, announcements of participants, progress reports, special facilities and events. Photographic records consist of colour slides, prints, negatives, transparencies and b&w prints recording the planning, construction, ceremonies, visits, the physical site, buildings, pavilions, facilities, Expo year activities and portraits of heads of state related to Expo '67 (acc. 1970-019). Also included are photographs of the Canadian Pavilion at Expo '67 (acc. 1997-347) and aerial photographs of the site (acc. 1987-079). Other graphic material in the series consists of 118 posters (usually two copies of each poster) advertising Expo '67 produced by the Corporation in addition to other countries. Poster designs are by Guy Lalumière, Alfred Pellan, Vang Rasmussen, Harsh/Finegold Inc., P. Ahyi, and Marsil Caron Barkes and Associates Ltd. The series also contains 54 maps showing the Expo '67 sites, plans and architectural drawings relating to the pavilions, Cité du Havre, Ile Ste Hélène, and Notre Dame.

Canadian Corporation for the 1967 World Exhibition. Department Of Public Relations : The Department of Public Relations was established in 1963 and was given the principal objectives of making the world aware of Expo '67; persuading all Canadians to accept and support Expo '67; assisting in attracting participants; convincing people everywhere that they must see Expo '67; and establishing and maintaining complete information facilities throughout the exhibition by making full use of publicity and advertising. The Public Relations Department consisted of three branches - the Public Relations Branch, the Advertising and Promotion Branch, and the Information Branch. The Public Relations Branch established liaison with, and enlisted the aid of government and private interests for assistance in conducting publicity and promotion campaigns. The Advertising and Promotion Branch conducted a series of prestige advertising and promotion campaigns with the assistance of advertising agencies. The Information Branch kept the public informed by direct mail campaigns, by telephone, brochures, pamphlets, folders, and a continuous stream of press releases to newspapers, radio and television.
