International Molders and Allied Workers Union : Independent Unions of Molders were established in Toronto, Hamilton, Brantford, London and Quebec in the middle of the nineteenth century. In 1859 the National Union of Iron Molders was formed at Philadelphia and the Canadian unions mentioned above affiliated with this organization the following year. Subsequently the name of the union was changed to International Molders and Foundry Workers Union of North America.
