BRADY'S BEASTS is an animated television series for children featuring a twelve-year old boy by the name of Brady Plunkett who lives in a whimsical new-millennium world where children are clamoring to replace their goldfish, puppies, hamsters and other cute household pets with horrifying, erratic and often carnivorous monsters. Raising these hideous semi-domesticated creatures of all shapes, sizes and appetites is not easy. While kids do not tend to be scared of them, the adults are utterly petrified. That's why children often end up calling Brady Plunkett, a true monster-rights activist, to help ease the potentially risky adoption process. In each episode, we learn the dos, don'ts, and do-at-your-own-risks of raising a beast. In addition, each episode contains two separate stories. In the first story of this episode, the town's beasts feel that the mayor's current platform is discriminatory against monsters. Vampire Vlad decides to run against the mayor in the re-election campaign. This is all part of Brady's big scheme to get the mayor to introduce some monster-friendly amendments to his platform. The plan indeed works - the mayor gets re-elected, and his newly revised electoral program actually improves the monsters' status. In the second story, Virgil borrows a magical horror book from the library by mistake and is haunted by its phantom - the ghost of the royal Jester. Armed with a protoplasm scanner, Brady arrives to rescue his friend. When the scanner fails to work and the Jester refuses to return to his dull old book, Brady convinces the spook to inhabit an exciting history book filled with centuries worth of stories, sites and civilizations. <24mn 15s>
