777 photographs b&w.Langue du document :anglaisPortée et contenu :Fonds consists of constitution and by-laws; history; correspondence and memoranda; financial records; membership; exhibitions; subject files; minutes; clippings; cyanotypes of the Scarborough Bluffs; unidentified people and lake scenes. Also included is a pasteboard on which is affixed a photo of several amateur photographers standing on a wharf in Toronto harbour with the inscription "What is the Vice President of the T.C.C. after", and below that a calendar for December 1909; on the reverse of the pasteboard is another photo entitled "Yachts Toronto Bay Aug. 8/08".
Fonds consists of photographic material, [1870-1954], depicting members of the Toronto Camera Club, including the executive, at home and on tour; sports activities; lake scenes; views of various places in Ontario; activities of the S.S. Grenfell in Labrador; identified and unidentified people.Provenance :Nom(s) additionnel(s) :Biographie/Histoire administrative :Toronto Camera Club : The Toronto Camera Club was initially formed in 1884 as the Photographic Section of the Royal Canadian Institute, but separated in 1888 to become the Toronto Amateur Photographic Association. It changed its name in 1891 to the Toronto Camera Club and in 1893 was incorporated, with its purpose being the practice and promotion among amateurs of the science and art of photography in all its branches.
