Bowman of Rochester, New York; Leon Van Patten, Dr. Sornberger ? and F.W. Micklethwaite of Toronto, Ontario; Zweifel-Roleff Studio of Duluth, Michigan; Thomas Norrell; "P.H. Other examples of American railways include Lehigh Valley Railway; Albany & Hudson; Lake Erie & Northern Railway; Grand Valley Railway; Aroostook Valley, plus many other private company locomotives. There are also views of American and Canadian diesel and electric locomotives including snowplows and shovels, and interiors and exteriors of a variety of train car types, some with information attached (including blueprints of construction). Other railroad-related views include the staff and business of John T. Gartshore Railway Equipment (1964); an album of steam locomotives being built at Lima Locomotive Works Incorporated, ca.1946; photos of scale drawings of Canadian National engines; group of steam locomotives from an album showing engines by date from 1825-1943; Other forms of land transportation depicted include buses, trucks, automobiles, road rollers, heavy equipment, and motor coaches of various private companies, delivery trucks from across Canada and a few places in the United States from ca. 1910 to 1960. Some built by: Dominion Coach & Levery Company, Toronto; Toronto Transportation Company; Montreal Plant Department Automobile; and Gray Coach Lines. There are also various types of horse-drawn delivery wagons, carts, carioles, stage coaches, milk wagon, sleighs, funeral coach, many from the T. Eaton Company Limited and fire department engines of the Toronto Fire Department, Beaverton Fire Department, and Cranbrook, Kenora, Fort Saskatchewan, Hamilton, and Almonte departments. Additionally there are views of steamers and other marine vessels including tugs, dredges, ocean liners, freighters, sailing ships, car and train ferries often identifiable by name, sometimes arranged alphabetically, sometimes further information is present on reverse of prints. Examples of Canadian and American marine companies included in the sub-series are Colonial Steamships Limited; Canadian Atlantic Transit Company; Arrow Steamships Limited of Toronto; Minnesota Steamships Company; Algoma Central Steamships Line; Imperial Steamers; Canada Steamship Lines; plus other firms in various Canadian canals and ports. Examples of Canadian ships include the S.S. Noronic; S.S. W. Grant Morgan; M.V. Normac; S.S. Northumberland; S.S. North Shore; S.S. Chicora; S.S. Chippewa; S.S. Corona; S.S. Canada; S.S. Olympic; S.S. Ascana; S.S. Scythia; S.S. Mauretania; S.S. Antonia; and the S.S. Berengaria. There are also views of Montreal and Quebec harbours, the Welland Canal (including construction), and war ships and crew photographs, ca.1944. Miscellaneous views in this sub-series include factory views Canada Iron Furnace Company Limited of Midland, Ontario; various architectural views at Midland and Toronto, Ontario and Quebec province; city views of Toronto, Petrolia, Midland, Kingston, Quebec and various other Canadian cities and towns; miscellaneous news photos, ca. 1930; farm scenes; unidentified portraits; lumbering scenes; views of sod houses, and the wreckage of Upper Steel Arch Bridge, Niagara Falls, 1938.
