Fonds consists of the diaries of Storker T. Storkerson, Arctic explorer, recording observations of his own experiences, weather conditions, vegetation, and animal life in the Arctic, and on the movement of currents in the Arctic Ocean, 1914-1918. In addition, a manuscript entitled "Report of the Canadian Arctic Expedition, 1913-1918", describing the major exploratory journey by dog sled undertaken by the expedition, n.d., is available.

Storkerson, Storker T : Storker T. Storkerson, arctic explorer from Norway, first came to the Canadian Arctic in 1906 with the Leffingwell-Michelsen Expedition. He accompanied Stefansson on his 1908-1912 exploration and was a member of the Canadian Arctic Expedition, 1914-1918. During this expedition, he traversed the north coast of Victoria Island in 1915, and again in 1917. In 1918, when Stefansson was ill, he took charge of the ice drift party that explored the Beaufort Sea north of Alaska.

The diaries of S.T. Storkerson, 1914-1918, were transferred in 1921 from the Department of Naval Services. His manuscript was transferred in 1937 from the Department of Transport, Marine Division.
