Part of a film about the visit of the Prince of Wales to Canada in 1919. It begins with footage of the Prince’s visit to Halifax, Nova Scotia. An intertitle states that historic Halifax greets the Prince and that the Prince is received on the spot where his royal grandfather stepped ashore in 1860; long view of the Prince of Wales alighting from a motor launch and walking up to the wharf, where a large receiving party is waiting to welcome him to Halifax; extreme close-up of the Prince inspecting a guard of honour and stopping to chat with the company sergeant; an intertitle reads “off to the Parliament Buildings”; extreme close-up of the Prince with the Nova Scotia Lieutenant Governor in an open automobile, with a large military parade assembled in the background; extreme close-up of the Prince at a ceremony to unveil tablets in memory of the workers who lost their lives while constructing the Quebec Bridge. The footage then switches to Toronto and an intertitle states "The Prince At Toronto." The next intertitle states that the "Royal Train arrives at Government House Station, Rosedale, where notable citizens greet the Prince"; footage of the Prince and other people getting into cars; people walking on the grounds in front of the Ontario Parliament Buildings at Queen's Park, with the buildings decorated for the occasion; close-up of the Prince arriving at the Ontario Parliament Buildings, shaking hands with various people and walking with men in military uniform and other officials; the exterior of Queen’s Park is decorated for the occasion; the Prince of Wales at the Canadian National Exhibition; the Prince and his party entering the Main Gate at the exhibition; the motorcade drives through the large gate as crowds look on; arriving at the Administration Building there and inspecting troops; the Prince walking with officials; the Prince declaring the exhibition open; the Prince standing on a stage; Canadian cameraman Frank O’Byrne moving to one side and beginning to crank a motion picture camera which is on a tripod; an intertitle explains that 60,000 returned soldiers and their relatives are in the CNE grand stand for Veterans’ Day; shot of the crowd at the CNE; an intertitle states that the Royal Canadian Yacht Club entertains the Prince; long view of the Prince of Wales arriving at the Royal Canadian Yacht Club in Toronto; extreme long view of the Prince presenting the Prince of Wales Cup at the Yacht Club to Norman Gooderham at a location that appears to be a tennis court; a movie cameraman is visible in the crowd during the presentation; an intertitle explains that the Cup was given by King Edward 60 years ago; long view of a garden party at Government House in Toronto, showing the Prince meeting and shaking hands with various people; intertitle says: “Ottawa, Ontario – Canada’s Capital Pays Prince Homage”; medium shot of the Prince of Wales and the Governor General shaking hands with various people in a receiving line in Ottawa; intertitle explains that the climax of state functions during the Royal Visit is the elaborate ceremony when the Prince lays the cornerstone of the Victory Tower [later named the Peace Tower] at the Parliament Buildings; extreme close-up of the Prince laying the corner stone of the Victory Tower at the Parliament Buildings in Ottawa, shown with various dignitaries on a dais, including Robert Borden; close-up of the first Victory Loan Honour flag being unfurled before it is raised on Parliament Hill; more shots of Borden, the Prince and other dignitaries on the dais; the Prince pulls a rope and then a man continues to pull a rope, apparently the flag-raising, although the flag is not seen going up the pole; intertitle reads "Montreal. Royal Heir Guest of Montrealers"; close-up of the Prince of Wales lunching outdoors at the Mount Royal look-out, with dignitaries, including Mayor Médéric Martin of Montreal seated on the left side of the Prince; intertitle which reads: "Winnipeg - The Prince in the West"; building with soldiers marching outside; the Prince salutes to a large crowd; intertitle which reads "At Tuxedo, the Prince opens a Red Cross Hut and inspects the Manitoba Military Hospital"; footage shows the Prince and other men in military uniform coming down the steps of a building (there is no sign to identify this as a Red Cross building) and then comes out of another building with military officers and a nurse. The final shot is a still of a graphic which states "Let Us Win The Prince Of Wales Flag", illustrated by a flag and a painting of the Prince of Wales standing with one arm raised. Below the image of the Prince is the following: "I hope every City and District will win my Flag."
