File consists of an interview with Andrew Weaver titled "The world of politics and the world of science." The interview was conducted by Silver Donald Cameron as part of The Green Interview. File includes video of the interview, printed transcript, and closed captioning file.

From the interview with Andrew Weaver: "The two biggest issues of global warming have been consistent with this, from my perspective, are not you know, the storm in Calgary today or the storm flood in New York. It's structural issues like biodiversity. It's quite clear evidence that substantive numbers of our species will become committed to extinction because they cannot adapt to the rate of change of climate as we are putting on now. You're seeing that now in species extinction speeding up. This is just going to get worse and worse and that's been well documented and studied by the IPCC. The second thing is political instability through geopolitical tensions associated with number one-and mainly-availability of water."

From The Green Interview website: Dr. Andrew Weaver, the climate scientist from the Nobel-winning IPCC team who has become the first Green Party member of a provincial legislature in Canada.

Andrew Weaver is a climate scientist, faculty at the University of Victoria in British Columbia, and in 2013 made history when he became the first ever Green Party member elected to a provincial legislature in Canada.

In 2007, Weaver was part of the climate-change team that won the Nobel Prize for their work with the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). He has authored or co-authored over 200 peer-reviewed, scientific papers and was the Chief Editor of the Journal of Climate from 2005-2009.
