Sequences and isolated shots throughout, of an Antarctic Baby Avro being used to spot seal herds. Plane is shown dismantled, assembled, in storage on ship, etc. Sequence on men hunting seals on the ice, killing and skinning them. Views of the 2100-ton Job Brother and Company sealing ship, the S.S. Beothic, with two-shot of Captain George Barbour and skipper "Key" Barbour. Other ships involved are the Ranger, the Sagona, and the Thetis. The Nascopie appears also, with her bow cutting through the ice. Ships and men are shown from ground positions, from the air. Ships move through icefloes, and sometimes getting stuck in the ice. Views of the Labrador coast, and of St. John's harbour. Fishing expedition with a flying boat.
