Recherche dans la collection - Construction and maintenance records of the St. Lawrence Seaway Authority [textual record]

This accession consists of records created and/or maintained by the St. Lawrence Seaway Authority (SLSA). These records document the design, construction, alteration, repair, maintenance, and abandonment of various SLSA sites and equipment, including bridges (file block 28), locks (file block 29), canals (file block 33), and power development facilities (file block 57). Included in this accession are records related to the original construction of the Welland Canal in the 1820s. Accession also includes various studies and reports related to SLSA sites and facilities that were produced by the SLSA or by third-parties on behalf of the SLSA.

Records were created and/or maintained by the St. Lawrence Seaway Authority, but were kept by its successor organization, the St. Lawrence Management Corporation, a private non-profit organization, after SLSA was dissolved in 1998. The records were subsequently transferred to Transport Canada, who tehn transferred this collection to LAC.
