This accession consists of records created and/or maintained by various organizational units within Transport Canada headquarters, as well as contracted external parties, responsible for internal evaluations, audits, and reviews. The accession consists of internal audit files of Transport Canada programs and policies. Each audit file includes both a final audit report, as well as supporting documentation used to conduct the audit study and draft the report, such as internal correspondence and memoranda and copies of internal policies, procedures and mandate statements. Several audit files in this accession relate to follow-up studies of previous audits, which may include documentation of management response to the recommendations of the original audit.
