This series provides detailed information on the history of land ownership and the development of the company's infrastructure, mostly in Hamilton area. The records relate to buildings or other structures, future construction, harbor and properties lines, wharves, bridges, channels, purchase of lots for plant expansion and plans of proposed changes to water lots. Deeds and land grants from previous owners are included in the files. They consist of real estate documents from Hamilton areas and streets: Birmingham, Bradford, Burlington, Gage, Manchester and Sheffield Streets (see volumes 548-551).

Stelco property ledgers are also included in this series. They provide a detailed description of costs of all lands, buildings, works, equipment, patents and constructions in process from 1931 to 1943 (see volumes 176-179).

Other types of records are maps showing location of houses in Hamilton and London areas, sale agreements with City of Hamilton, some control sheets describing the cost of land and reports on sewage disposal properties in Hamilton.

Of particular interest are: 3 maps related to The Steel Company of Canada in Fort William in 1913 which describe in detail the plant and dock (see volume 429 file 6) and records describing Montreal works properties (e.g. quantities of lands, shore lines and water lots) from 1898 to 1930 (see volume 388 file 9).
