Accession consists of records created and/or maintained by the B.C. Region of the Department of Justice.

The accession contains records relating to the litigation between the Oregon Jack Creek Band and the Canadian National Railway (CNR). The litigation relates to the allegation that the construction proposed by the CNR in connection with a second track would involve rock fill encroaching on several areas of the Thompson River bed and the dumping of rock and gravel adversely affecting the habitat of the fish in both the Thompson and Fraser Rivers. Accession includes, but is not limited to: copies of and notes on historical documents; coding sheets, correspondence; pleadings and proceedings; court of appeal material; survey projects; aerial photo books; and maps.

These records were originally held in British Columbia. They were transferred to the National Capital Region in 2016 and are available for consultation there.
