Ren and Stimpy was a cartoon series that aired on Nickelodeon for five seasons, starting in 1991. The series was created by Canadian cartoonist John Kricfalusi and was animated by his studio Spumco Animation. The show starred an unstable chihuaha named Ren and a dimwitted cat named Stimpy. The off color humor of the show helped pave the way for other more adult cartoons such as South Park and Beavis and Butthead, and influenced a score of very successful animators and cartoonists. The show declined in quality and viewers after original creator John Kricfalusi was fired and Nickelodeon animation studios took over in 1993. The show was cancelled in 1995, but maintains a strong cult following.

This item is an animation still, done to help plan out movements before being colored and animated with a computer. These drawings were done by a large design team based on John Kricfalusi's original drawings.
