Delibard explains the purpose of the conference: to lobby the federal government to develop a national heritage policy through a Royal Commission on Heritage. Delibard outlinesthe history of the organization and points out the negative effects of the current lack of a coherent heritage policy. Expressing hopes for a Royal Commission as effective as the Massey Commission on National Development of Arts, Letters & Sciences in 1951, Delibard stresses the importance of heritage buildings in the development of Canadian identity. <30mn> Personnages :FEDERAL AID TO HISTORIC SITES~HISTORIC BUILDING CONSERVATION & RESTORATION~HISTORIC SITE CONSERVATION & RESTORATION~PRESS CONFERENCES~HERITAGE CANADA~DELIBARD, JACQUES~LYNCH, CHARLESLangue :English / FrançaisDétails de l'inventaire : -
