Interviewees include: politicians Boris Kagarlitsky, Leonid Volkov and a former campaign organizer who now is a businessman. Kagarlitsky calls the Yeltsin government the worst government in Russia since the early 17th century. Volkov says the government is medieval and feudal rather than a real democracy. Other subjects discussed include: bureaucrats who are still Communists and who are still in the government; cynicism about the prospects for democracy; the views of various pro-democracy parties; concerns by the democratic parties that the nomenklatura (former Communist Party bureaucrats) are allowed to buy former state institutes and factories under the new privatization legislation; and prospects for a multi-party democracy. <17mn 44s>Langue :EnglishRemarques :Détails de l'inventaire : -
