United interview of Mary Khas, a Palestinian who works in the Gaza Strip, with early childhood education, serving children ages 5 and 6 years old in Palestinian refugee camps. She speaks about such subjects as: her pride in the achievements of the Intifada, which began approximately one year earlier; the growing solidarity among the Palestinian people since the Intifada began; the role of women in the uprising; the education system; her opinion that civil disobedience is the next step in the fight for Palestinian autonomy; the role of the Intifada in breaking through the fear felt by the Palestinians, particularly among the young people; her efforts to save some children from being beaten by soldiers; the need to teach children about Palestinian culture and history; outdating methods of teaching and the outdating curriculum; the impotence of human rights groups in Israel and her view that Israel’s mistreatment of the Palestinians shows that Israel’s values are going down the drain. <40mn 35s>
