Interview of Grace MacInnis, former New Democatic Party (NDP) Member of Parliament for the riding of Vancouver-Kingsway and daughter of James Shaver Woodsworth, by author Peter Stursberg, about: Grace Maclnnis; her family background; James Shaver Woodsworth; her mother Lucy Lillian Woodsworth (née Staples); James Shaver Woodsworth; his education at Wesley College (at the University of Manitoba); Victoria College (University of Toronto); and at Oxford circa 1900; the major influences and ideas of his life; his marriage; his beliefs; his pastorate at Grace Church in Winnipeg (circa 1904) and at the Stella Avenue All People's Mission (1909); development of his civic ideas; his contributions to Canadian society; his politicization; Winnipeg circa 1904-1919; Gibson's Landing, British Columbia circa 1917-1919; J.S.
