News conference given by Member of Parliament for Windsor West Herb Gray, concerning a reopening of negotiations of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) with the U.S. and Mexico on labour and environmental issues. Included subjects are criticism of the Canadian government’s weakness in these negotiations, the lack of clear rules regarding dumping and subsidies, an energy agreement less valuable for Canada than for Mexico, the loss of leverage for Canada due to the adoption of NAFTA by law before any attempt at renegotiation, some side agreements requested by the U.S. government, and the Liberal intention to renegotiate NAFTA in regard to dumping, subsidies, and energy. <20mn>
