This accession consists of records created and maintained by the Pacific Region of Public Works and Government Services Canada and its predecessors.

The accession contains, but is not limited to, records relating to construction and maintenance of federally-owned buildings (inlcuding prisons, post offices, weather stations, psychiatric centres, employment centres, border crossings, and the Gulf of Georgia cannery building), roadways, bridges and airports. Also included in this accession are marine engineering and development records relating to dredging, wharves, and breakwater.

These records were originally held in British Columbia. They were transferred to the National Capital Region in 2016 and are available for consultation there.
