The collection consists of one photograph album, 33 loose prints and a diary belonging to F/L Victor Henry Harris of the Royal Canadian Air Force.

The album and loose prints consist of personal photographs of friends and family; views of the mine at Moneta and mines west of Cobalt; the town of Cobalt; and the Oshawa and Hagersville Airports. There are also views of various RCAF planes including the Avro Anson, the Tiger Moth, the Armstrong Whitworth Whitley, and the North American Harvard.

The diary contains both personal and RCAF details of Harris' day-to-day activities and dates from 31 December 1942 to 23 February 1943.

Other items in the collection include an RCAF membership card for the Hagersville Mess; an RCAF Trenton, Ontario brochure with photos; and a miniature information booklet on tne mounting and wearing of stars and medals published by the Department of Veteran Affairs.

Victor Henry Harris : Victor Henry Harris was born 5 December 1919 in Sarnia, Ontario. Prior to joining the Royal Canadian Air Force he worked in the gold mine at Moneta, Ontario. He joined the RCAF on 15 May 1941 and was commissioned 9 January 1942. He became a flying officer 1 October 1942 and was reported as missing in action after one of the bombings of Cologne, Germany.
