Recording consists of original sound rolls used in the production of the documentary film THE LEARNING PATH. Included is an interview with Shelly [Delver], a student from Onchaminahos School, a contemporary First Nations-run school in Saddle Lake, Alberta. Subjects discussed include the differences between [Delver's] early education and her education at Onchaminahos School, the special projects course on leadership offered by the school, ways in which the course has helped her, the importance of Native education and First Nations-run schools, how Onchaminahos School has helped her, her plans following graduation, and her advice to young children regarding the importance of education.~Interview with [Delver] is followed by an interview with Sister Vincent [Murray], a religion teacher at Onchaminahos School. [Murray] discusses her experiences teaching at Onchaminahos School.~Interview with Sister Vincent [Murray] is followed by an interview with Gloria McGilvery, Vice-Principal at Onchaminahos School and teacher of a special projects course on leadership. McGilvery speaks of the special projects course she has developed, and her hopes regarding the future of Native education and First Nations-run schools. <1h>
