Lorraine Thomson interviews actor Chris Wiggins. Wiggins describes his childhood in Blackpool, England and his stint in the British horse guards. After his discharge he emigrated to British Columbia. There he became involved in the Trail Little Theatre which led to a trip to the Dominion Drama Festival. At the festival he met Betty Mitchell of Warehouse 14 who invited him to join her actors in Calgary. After appearing at another Dominion Drama Festival he decided to make the move to Toronto. His first professional role was in "Private Lives" staring Charmion King. Wiggins then started doing programs on CBC radio and he mentions some of the people he worked with including: Tommy Tweed; Henry Ramer; John Drainie; Kate Reid; Esse Ljungh; and Andrew Allan. Wiggins also comments on some of his other work including: appearing in commercials; providing character voices for animation; acting for one year at the Stratford Festival; appearing at The Crest Theatre in 1961; working for Theatre Toronto; appearing on television for the first time in CBC's THE BLACK BONSPIEL OF WULLIE MCCRIMMON; performing on the US STEEL HOUR SHOW in the late 50s and early 60s; and acting in 70 episodes of FRIDAY THE 13TH. Wiggins criticizes Canadians for not supporting homegrown talent and compares the Canadian entertainment industry with that of other countries.~He also mentions appearing in the series PAUL BERNARD PSYCHIATRIST, with Kay Hautree and Dawn Greenhalgh, in which 130 episodes where filmed in three months. The interview concludes with Wiggins describing a book of short stories he has written.
