Footage of John W. Ross' fishing trip to Murphy's creek (Gaspé, Québec) in the 1920s. Scenes include: John digging for worms and kissing his wife Gertrude goodbye at the Cod Cottage (Percé, Québec); John and company getting into the LaSalle car; Peggy and Mike fishing at the creek with Dad; deep sea fishing; John paddling the canoe up the creek; and John showing his fish upon his arrival at the Cod Cottage.~Footage of two beach picnics at Percé in 1927 or 1931. Scenes include: Jack and Milicent playing ball and canoeing; Boyd, Mef and Ian on the beach; cars up at Spelling place; another beach picnic with John W. Ross, "Woodjet", Ian Alexander and Aileen Dansken; Shirley playing with the dog; a storm at the beach, and Robin boating in the background.~Footage of John W. Ross, his wife Gertrude, Jack and Milicent's motor trip to Gaspé in 1931. Scenes include: the Gaspé mountains; a picnic on the side of the road; a waterfall; the family car driving back and forth on the unpaved road; the travellers' return to the Cod Cottage at Percé where they are greeted by Eric Gault Finley; and men unloading the car.~Footage of a motor trip to Percé in 1935. Scenes include: a ship alongside a long dock; two small boys with a dog carriage walking on the dock; a Cathedral; Gertrude on a motor boat; and mountains and houses along the shore seen from a motor boat. <11mn>
