Canadian edition of Warner Pathé newsreel, consisting of the following stories: Hopeful Ike Back From Geneva Parley -- Return of American President Dwight D. Eisenhower to Washington after a meeting in Geneva. He is greeted by his wife Mamie, Vice-President Richard Nixon and Nixon's wife, his mother-in-law and dauthter-in-law. Eisenhower makes a brief statement. Argentina's Quints Reach 12th Birthday -- Argentina's quintuplets, Maria Esther, Maria Fernanda, Maria Christina, Carlos Alberto and Franco Diligenti, reach their 12th birthday. The quints, children of a millionaire, attend separate boarding schools so that they will grow up normally. Liberace Makes a Hit in Paris -- Liberace is welcomed at airport in Paris, France, by a French singer and a crowd of well-wishers, during his European publicity tour for his new movie, SINCERELY YOURS, which was produced by Warner Brothers. Liberace arrives in Paris. Touring Red Farmers Enjoy Iowa Picnic -- Farm experts from Russia, on tour in the United States, attend a picnic in Grand Junction, Iowa, and are shown eating and playing baseball. Flash -- A Hot Story -- People escaping the hot weather crowd beaches on the east coast of the United States. Shot of some sort of parachute machine. Something for the Ladies (and Men, Too) -- Outdoor fashion show in San Francisco's Union Square. First Lady is Hostess on a Boat Ride -- Mamie Eisenhower, Mrs. Anthony Eden and Mrs. [Lucie] Faure take a boat cruise on Lake Geneva. Picking Miss Universe -- Miss Sweden wins the Miss Universe beauty pageant in Long Beach, California. This is followed by the News of Canada segment, featuring three stories. Oil Fire Sends Black Clouds Over Toronto -- Fire in a 10,000-gallon oil tank on the Toronto waterfront sends black clouds over the city skyline. Shows water being sprayed by fire fighters. Story titled Red Coat is New Chief of Blackfeet shows Royal Canadian Mounted Police Commissioner L. H. Nicholson being welcomed into the Blackfoot Nation at a ceremony in Calgary, Alberta and giving the name Chief Never Sit Down. 17-Year-Old is Queen City's Prettiest Miss -- Miss Toronto 1955 beauty contest at the Canadian National Exhibition grandstand, showing contestants in bathing suits and winner, Sheila [Billing], age 17. Mayor Nathan Phillips congratulates the winner. The final story, Cracks 'Water Barrier' -- Campbell's Son Streaks 202 MPH, is about the setting of a world water speed record by Donald Campbell in the hydroplane Bluebird, a jet-propelled boat, which reached more than 202 miles per hour on a lake in England. <9mn>
