Press conference held by the Inter-Church Committee on Human Rights in Latin America which unites representatives of Canadian Church, human rights, and development organizations. The speakers are: Suzanne Rumsey, Program Co-ordinator of the Committee; Gabrielle Lachance, Director General, Canadian Catholic Organization for Development and Peace; Joe Gunn, Co-Director of Social Affairs Office, Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops and Executive Member of the Committee; and Mark Fried, Americas Program Development Officer, OXFAM-CANADA. Together they voice their concerns about the human rights situation in Mexico since that country's entry into NAFTA, which they will be discussing with Mexican President Zedillo during his visit to Ottawa.
