Jolliffe, guest speaker at the Empire Club luncheon in the Royal York Hotel, Toronto, talks about his recent visit to Communist China. Bruce J. Legge, club president, introduces Jolliffe. Jolliffe gives a very positive impression of what he observed while he was in Communist China. He says there is "no suggestion that the present regime is temporary or lacks popular support". China has made tremendous progress in overcoming poverty and oppression. The Chinese have accomplished far more with their communist revolution than have the Russians, and the new China is going to be a great power." Dr. James Parish thanks Jolliffe on behalf of the Empire Club. <50mn>Langue :EnglishDétails de l'inventaire : -
